 Arizona Legend tells us that the black stones known as APACHE TEARS, found near Superior, Arizona, are the hardened tears of the Apache Women who cried as they watched their brave Warriors avoid capture by the Calvary by leaping off the buttes of a great mountain now called the APACHE LEAP in the late 1800's. This stone reportedly relieves grief and aids in understanding the cause of greif. It is often used to stimulate insight into areas of disturbance within yourself or your surroundings, and is said to aid one in giving and accepting forgiveness.
